I was born in Berkeley, California. My family moved to Pakistan and India where I went to American International Schools in Karachi and New Delhi. I moved back permanently as a freshman at Redwood High School. Went on to get my BA in Psychology, and Masters Degree in special education and spent most of my career teaching.
I met my husband Douglas Milani playing softball and have been married for 37 years and our son Nick Milani is getting married this year!
I always wanted to paint but really never found the time until I retired. I’ve been painting four years now and absolutely love it. I have been working under the tutelage of Bernard Healey and we consider ourselves abstract realists! I paint mostly local scenes as I love Marin County and landscapes but I also enjoy painting animals.
