Rita Lanphier
I grew up on Kauai. I come from a big family- 5 brothers and 2 sisters-they are the best gift my parents ever gave to me. I attended SCU and began a career at Oracle Corp. It did not suit me and at the age of 28 I embarked on a new adventure – Dentistry at Creighton University. Crushed to have to leave San Francisco I managed to somehow get through the winters and survive Omaha. In the end I still find myself having to return to the great Midwestern town for it was there as luck had it that I met my husker husband!<br />
I have been practicing dentistry since 2006. I completed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) and Masters in Dental Surgery – Periodontology (M.D.S) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. I came to the USA in 2012 to join my husband and completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, University of the Pacific. We have since called San Francisco our home.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my husband, Amit, and my son Kabir. Together, we love going to the beach and building sandcastles, enjoying all the local parks of San Francisco and the Bay Area. My son and I also love playing sous chefs to our “home chef” – my husband.

As a long time patient of this practice, I was fortunate enough to be offered the position of one of the Patient Care Coordinators three years ago. I came from a finance background and find my new position to be a wonderful new experience..The everyday interaction with patients as well as staff is very positive and rewarding. I live in San Rafael with my husband and have two children and one grandson.
I am originally from Uzbekistan and moved to California in 1994. I have been in the Bay area since 2002 and in this office since April, 2008. As simply as I can put it, what I enjoy about my work is participating in positive change,to help our patients attain optimum health. Also, Dr. Lanphier is a joy to work for. She is as caring to her patients as she is to her staff. In my free time I love to cook, explore all the amazing sights we have in the Bay Area and travel all over the world. I look forward to meeting you soon!
I have been in this practice 43 years. I went to OhioState. I have 2 grown children; Amanda who lives in Boston with 3 kids and Jordan who lives in Woodacre and has 2 daughters . Married to Richard for 49 years – – WOW Have long lived in San Geronimo and LOVE the valley. Spare time is spent hiking and exploring the amazing Bay area. Love trying new eateries, cooking and farmers markets.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska to a teacher for a Mother and dentist as a Father. Escaped to New York for college, gave the East Coast a chance for ten years before reversing course and heading westward. Along the way, I met Rita at a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game, and fell in love. We moved West together and are now raising our two sons here in Marin. I feel blessed to be here, so much natural beauty with access to much more. I enjoy family hikes and bike rides around the many trails of Mount Tamalpais, and beyond (Tahoe!). Also love to snowboard with my sons, which gives Rita well needed rest! If not out exploring nature with my family, I might be found around our children’s school volunteering, or at the library helping them with homework. Somewhere in between I find time to help around the dental office, anyway I can. The staff is great, professional and friendly, which brings out the best in us. My main priorities are helping patients with questions regarding their accounts, coordinating payroll, and bookkeeping. However, often times I am found climbing ladders, connecting wires, or resolving a sink clog. These duties help the office run smooth, the way we need it, and I am thankful to be a cog. If you ever see me around and have a question, I am always willing to help.
